WELCOME TO THE NEELKANTH GROUP

Neelkanth Group was founded in 2007, in Tanzania with our flagship company Neelkanth Lime Limited. Our core focus was to develop chemical reagents such as quicklime and hydrated lime for the East African market. With the development of our core values, Neelkanth Group became the largest supplier of chemical reagents in the East African region supplying more than a million tons of chemical reagents across the last decade.

Neelkanth Group also simultaneously started operations in Zambia, manufacturing similar chemical reagents such as quick lime and hydrated lime to support the growing mining industry in neighbouring countries such as the Democratic Republic of Congo and Malawi. Neelkanth Group developed a manufacturing facility in Ndola, Zambia which currently has over 5,000 employees and an annual capacity of 420,000 tons of lime-based chemical reagents.

As our core developments in the chemical reagent markets developed, Neelkanth Group vertically integrated our supply chain and began mining operations in Zambia & Tanzania. Currently, Neelkanth Group hosts some of the largest reserves of limestone, magnesite, lead and iron in the region. Currently, Neelkanth Group has invested heavily in mining & quarrying operations in Zambia & Tanzania holding large stocks of raw materials that are supplied across the region.

In 2015, Neelkanth Group diversified into new industries. Namely, Neelkanth Salt Limited was formed in Tanzania. Neelkanth Salt Limited manufactures industrial and edible grade salt in Mkuranga region, Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. Our state of the art refining facility has the capacity to manufacture more than 750 tons per day of industrial and edible-grade salt. Currently, our brand “Neel Salt” is the leading iodized food-grade salt product in Tanzania. Neelkanth Salt Limited also initiated our salt farming in the Shungubweni district. Over 2,400 acres of land is developed into a modern salt farm harvesting high grade raw salt utilized in our plant.

In the same year, Neelkanth Group opened Neelkanth Cables Limited in Ndola, Zambia. Neelkanth Cables produces high quality cable products including low voltage cables, medium voltage cables, aerial bunch overhead transmission line conductors, copper rods, busbars and strips. We believe in manufacturing high quality material with excellent craftsmanship which has led us to be one of the fastest growing cable manufacturers in the region. We distribute our cables to all parts of the East and Central African region.

Neelkanth Group also invested in a modern printing facility in Tanga, which focuses on security printing. We supply some of the largest telecommunication companies in the region providing them with high quality top-up vouchers. Our printing facility also has the capability to manufacture plastic packaging, identification cards, security cards and banking cards.

In Zambia, Neelkanth Group launched Neelkanth Sarovar Premiere, our flagship property and Zambia’s first five star hotel. Neelkanth Sarovar Premiere is an all-in-suite business hotel situated in the heart of Lusaka right across from Manda-Hill mall. This property boasts 82 luxury suites and 2 penthouse suites crafted with a special focus on style, comfort and convenience. The hotel offers top-end amenities such as a rooftop deli, a lounge bar, a fine dining restaurant, a cafe, a luxurious fitness center and an acclaimed spa facility. However, what sets us apart is the warm and hospitable service that is at the core of Neelkanth Group’s values. This property is ranked as the number-one hotel in Zambia.

Lastly, Neelkanth Group also owns and operates MMI Zambia Limited, the largest steel trading and manufacturing unit in Zambia. With a special focus on cold rolling sheets, structural steel products as well as galvanised/aluzinc roofing sheets. This state of the art manufacturing unit is located in Lusaka, Zambia.

Neelkanth Group, with the blessings of Pramukh Swami Maharaj and Mahant Swami Maharaj, has seen tremendous growth over the last decade. Neelkanth Group prides itself in developing its core values whilst providing quality products and services in all our industry segments. Neelkanth Group started with our humble beginnings in 2007, with a small plant in Tanga and support from Pramukh Swami Maharaj. Today, we are in multiple industries such as chemical manufacturing, steel manufacturing, cable manufacturing, metals & mining, real estate & hospitality, printing & FMCG. Neelkanth Group is a thriving conglomerate continually spreading throughout industries and regions.
